Rumors Of Flappy Bird’s Return To App Stores

Of course everyone still remembers the little fiasco that happened over the entire month of February this year with the little game everyone loves to hate, Flappy Bird. First this little simple arcade game was basically a dud when it was originally released in early 2013, but in what felt like just overnight, the game picked up so much momentum to the point where it was number 1 in both the Google Play Store and the App Store while earning around $50,000 a day from ads alone.

What followed this rise to fame was just pure hate towards the developer, Dong Nguyen, who would constantly receive death threats, hate mail, and even articles accusing him of a multitude of things. Over time this took its toll on poor Nguyen to the point where he ended up taking the game completely off both app stores. The aftermath was just filled with people trying to figure out how something as simple as Flappy Bird could become such a huge hit, while everyone else was just upset because of the removal of the game.

Well according to a recent interview with Rolling Stones, Dong Nguyen has stated that he is considering bringing the game back but with the warning, “Please take a break”. Sadly this is all that was given on the future of Flappy Bird, but if your a fan of Nguyen’s work he stated he currently has three games in the making which will be a cowboy-themed shooter, a vertical flying game called Kitty Jetpack and an action chess game called Checkonaut. Let’s just hope he doesn’t receive hate for Kitty Jetpack because that would be quite redonkulous.

Keep checking back for more information regarding the future of Flappy Bird.
